Why We Built Ephelion
A frustrating experience that changed everything.
"Why do we shop online from very far places and wait for days, when we can't even find things around us?"
It started with a simple online order. I needed a gadget, found it on an e-commerce platform, and placed my order. Then came the waiting days of checking tracking updates, anticipating delivery.
When the package finally arrived, my excitement quickly turned to frustration. The gadget wasn't working properly. I requested a return immediately. The pickup agent saw the issue firsthand and confirmed the defect.
Then began the real nightmare. A week passed with no update. When I contacted support, they said they needed to "check it" for a week? After three messages and two full weeks of back and forth, I finally got my refund. Two weeks wasted on something that was clearly defective from day one.
Here's the irony: After all that, I found the exact same gadget in a shop just minutes from my house. I never knew they had it.
I had to walk from shop to shop to discover it was there all along. That's when the question hit me: Why are we ordering from faraway places, waiting days for delivery, risking defective products and painful returns when we don't even know what's available right around us?
That frustration became our mission. Ephelion was born to bridge that gap to help people discover what's available in their own community before looking elsewhere. No more endless waiting. No more walking shop to shop hoping to find what you need.
